Be a better coach. 10 dynamic tips from Allistair:

1. Be the example. Set the level of what you expect from your athletes.

2. Be before time, not ‘on’ time. You are the coach remember, the leader.

3. Keep learning. Read something new every day.

4. Be prepared. Know what you want to do for that day.

5. Look presentable. Make sure your clothes are clean and ironed.

6. Keep communication short, simple and to the point.

7. Compliment your athletes only when they have earned it. Don’t become one of those automatic ’that’s good’ for every single thing they do coach.

8. Get to really know your athlete/s. Coaching is about individual connection & people.

9. Be enthusiastic. Give energy.

10. Find out what your athlete’s favorite exercise or drill is and include it in every lesson, even if just for a few minutes.
