  1. So this article means that coaches are responsible for nothing?

…Actually it is true. Most of coaches are interested in money/comfort much more than in a player. The only exception is tennis families where a player coached by mother/father/brother etc. When your player = your son/daughter/brother, than you will be a really devoted coach. Otherwise, you will always “optimize” your cooperation with a player to maximize income / minimize work amount.

So why to go through ups & downs with a player if you can blame him/her “not responsible”?

P.S. When a player/parent says “it is time to change a coach”, may be it is REALLY time to do this?

    • I am not saying that coaches are responsible for nothing. Of course there are coaches who don’t put their best unless the money is right but we are not talking about this group. I mean that too many players don’t give own best, don’t analyze own performances, and don’t blame themselves for losses. The only person to blame is the coach. With this kind of approach (when you blame coach as the first person – not as the last one) players will never achieve great results.
