  1. Very well said. The problem is that parents fail to understand that the foremost thing to develop in a child is the love for the sport, and that comes from it being fun. AS the kid develops the love and competence then the skill and competitiveness bring the best out. This is so simple yet so many of parents just make sure they take the fun away and think that is the way of becoming a champion. It has to be fun or don’t play and if you don’t enjoy it don’t play. Wish parents read this nice article

  2. I have been coaching tennis for 20+ years. I have always stated, “it is the kid’s (want to) that matters, without the want to, that athlete goes no where.
