  1. I agree with you, big points are a myth. A player should play every point in the most efficient way possible.
    First you play your patterns with your strengths
    Second you play your patterns into the opponents weaknesses
    Third you try to disrupt the opponents pressure if the above doesn’t work.

    This is my vision on tactics.

    On the level of point-play;
    1. the optimal intention has to be selected in every shot-situation
    2. the optimal ball qualities has to be generated to execute your intention.

    What these are depends on your;
    1. your personality
    2. your bio-mechanical abilities
    3. the preferences/abilities of the opponent
